Lake Erie Nature & Science Center in Bay Village has officially reopened the outdoor Wildlife Gardens to the public, unveiling a $1.9 million transformation that will create more engaging learning experiences about native animals for 100,000+ annual visitors.
The new outdoor Wildlife Gardens is included with free general admission. See animal ambassadors and wildlife rehabilitation patients in their new habitats with opportunities to engage with their wildlife specialists.
The Center features more than 65 live animal ambassadors — from raptors and reptiles to mammals and fish—and offers engaging programs like Hawk Walks, behind-the-scenes keeper experiences, and interactive animal feedings designed to foster a deeper appreciation for local wildlife.
Its Schuele Planetarium boasts a state-of-the-art projection system showcasing over 3,000 stars and tailored shows for toddlers through adults.
Nestled in the scenic Huntington Reservation along Lake Erie, the center complements its indoor offerings with nature-based preschool classes, summer camps, scout and field trip programs, and robust wildlife rehabilitation service.
