Lorain County Wine Tasting Event Kicks Off with Pre-Sale Party at Bistro 83

On August 20 at Bistro 83, join the Arthritis Foundation, Great Lakes Region’s Northeastern Ohio office for the 2014 Ticket Sales Kickoff Party of Lorain County’s food and wine tasting event – L’Amour du Vin.

L’Amour du Vin – presented by University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center – returns to the Avon Oaks Country Club on October 9 for its seventeenth year; however, guests at the free Kickoff Party in August can get an exclusive preview of the event.

From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Bistro 83, located at 36033 Westminister Ave., North Ridgeville, enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres, happy hour specials and discounted pre-sale tickets to L’Amour du Vin.

L’Amour du Vin annually hosts more than 450 guests with wine from around the world and food from local award-winning restaurants. An exclusive VIP lounge will feature complimentary specialty cocktails from Brown-Forman and cuisine from 41 North, Vermilion’s newest restaurant.

Participating restaurants and chefs currently include 41 North, Ahern Catering, AMP150 Restaurant & Bar, Arrabiata’s Italian Restaurant, Bistro 83, Chef Shawn Gregg, Gatherings Kitchen, Gourmet Guy Catering, Kiedrowski’s Simply Delicious Bakery, La Campagna, Little Devil Cupcakery, Parker’s Grille and Tavern, Sapori Italian Grille, Taki’s Greek Kitchen and Your Deli.

Other event highlights include a unique silent auction, a Dine Around Lorain County raffle, the Vandemark Jewelers jewelry raffle, live music and the opportunity to win fabulous prizes.

General Admission tickets for L’Amour du Vin regularly cost $65; $95 for VIP Lounge tickets. However, guests at the August 20 Kickoff Party can take advantage of deeply discounted pre-sale prices ($50 – General Admission and $80 – VIP).

Proceeds from L’Amour du Vin will support local programs, services and research to fight for a cure for arthritis. Nearly 1.3 million people of all ages in Northeastern Ohio have been diagnosed with arthritis.
