On November 30, 2015 pre-kindergarten students from Primrose School of Hudson will deliver their non-perishable food donation to Hudson Food Pantry to help provide food assistance to local families in need.
The Hudson Food Pantry supports two hundred families living within Federal Poverty Guidelines.
As part of Primrose Schools’ annual Caring and Giving program, children at the Primrose School of Hudson, have spent the past month earning money for their shopping trips by completing extra chores at home. Students in each classroom then pooled their money and created detailed shopping lists to follow at the grocery store where they purchased the food they will donate next week.
This event helps students understand the value of generosity while delivering a hands-on approach to math, nutrition and planning skills.
