Thrive After 55 with Northeast Ohio Boomer Magazine

Thrive After 55 with Northeast Ohio Boomer Magazine

Northeast Ohio Thrive. That’s the new name for Boomer starting in 2025 to mark the magazine’s 10th year celebrating people 55 and older.

An anniversary is the perfect time to review accomplishments with an eye toward the future. The truth is, “Boomer” doesn’t quite describe most of the magazine’s readers anymore. “Thrive” reflects the reality and aspirations of the loyal and enthusiastic readers who have generously supported the magazine for 9 years. Thrive After 55; The magazine’s tagline is both its new name and a better fit.

Other Changes
Starting in March 2025, Thrive will publish four issues annually: Spring, Summer, Fall and Holiday. As readers and advertisers gravitate to online content, condensing print editions into four, robust and free issues makes sense. Each will coincide with the quarterly Boomer Bash events in 2025. The wildly popular Bashes will also serve as Issue Release Parties for Thrive.

“Everything you love about Boomer will be included in this rebranding into Thrive,” says founder and publisher Brad Mitchell. “We’ve listened to our readers, advertisers and other partners and we’re building on our past successes of catering to the needs of older adults in Northeast Ohio.”
Readers will get more content about aging well, building relationships, managing money and embracing—make that thriving— in this exciting stage of life.

The Beat digital newsletter will continue each Wednesday. The magazine will expand its online and social media footprint with more blogger content, an extended events calendar and a new directory listing trusted companies, services and professionals for the 55+ market.
