“Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.”
That’s what my mother-in-law used to tell Dan’s older brother when he wanted to know why Dan did everything that he did – like play the same games, order the same food, and wear the same clothes.
We imitate/replicate/duplicate the things we see and love. It means we’ve been inspired.
