College Credit Plus (CCP) is an initiative by the Ohio Department of Education to provide postsecondary educational opportunities for qualified students in grades 7-12. Every public university and community college must offer a CCP program, and private colleges and universities may choose to offer one.
Every program can set its own admission requirements, which may include the submission of an ACT or SAT score report that indicates students are ready for college-level work. (For more information about these “remediated-free standards,” see ohiohighered.org.)
January, February and March are prime application months and most schools’ deadlines for Fall 2018 are in May 2018. It is critical that if a student is interested in a CCP program, he or she starts the application process immediately.
