A free, family-friendly opportunity to visit Geauga Park District’s sugar house, sugarbush and lodge to learn maple sugaring methods that have evolved from Native American tradition to modern methods:
- Gather sap with a horse-drawn sap sled from 1 and 2 p.m.
- Experience the various methods used throughout history for tapping, gathering and boiling sap from maple trees
- See sap boiling in the sugar house and get a chance to taste some too
- Free maple stirs will be available in the lodge
- Enjoy popcorn and maple sugaring artifact viewing
- Listen to live music by The Real Deal String Band on February 22, The Pickle Milk String Band on March 1, and Mr. Haney String Band on March 8
- Purchase award-winning maple syrup in the lodge
