Every few years, Cleveland welcomes the world’s brightest young stars of the piano world to compete in the Cleveland International Piano Competition and Institute for Young Artists. This is one of the top competitions in the world for young pianists, presenting the highest-level international artists ranging from 11-18 years old.
The competition is an extraordinary opportunity to share-in with your friends and family, as your kids can connect to the story of ordinary kids who have tapped into their likes and passions, guiding them on their journey to discovering their extraordinary talents. Piano Cleveland Live brings pop-up piano concerts to some of Northeast Ohio’s favorite hangout spots. Featuring local professional pianists playing in a variety of styles, these concerts offer something for everyone. Piano Cleveland Live pop-up concerts are always free and open to the public, so bring your friends, grab a seat and enjoy!

Friends and neighbors experienced the exceptional artistry of these young pianists on the big screen! At these community events, we screened selections of the exquisite First Round of the competition, hosted by a leader in the local piano world. Audiences enjoyed piano-themed activities and delicious snacks while they learned about the music and what it’s like to be a contestant.

Six Finalists will highlight classic piano trios with members of The Cleveland Orchestra. Experience the brilliance of these exceptional young artists as they play alongside seasoned professionals in this intimate chamber music performance.
