High School seniors have an opportunity to win $10,000 in scholarship funding from the Dollar Bank Scholarship Contest. Students would have to attend a half-day long financial literacy seminar covering the topics below, and then submit a 1,500 word essay about planning and paying for college.
Some of the topics include:
Checking & Electronic Transaction. Learn the basics of banking and how to manage your money. Understand the different, easy-to-use transaction methods.
Saving & Budgeting. Figure out what type of savings account meets your needs. Create a budgeting strategy you can live with.
Student Loans & Paying for College. Discover things you can do NOW to pay for college LATER. Learn about the different types of loans and resources available to you.
