Lake County Outdoor Y at 4540 River Road in Perry will offer a weekly Farmers Market open to the community on Wednesdays from 1-5pm beginning in June through September.
“At our Farmers Market, you’ll discover tempting treats and delicious locally grown fruits and vegetables, along with an array of flowers and plants for your home,” says Kathy Steinmetz, program director at the Lake County Outdoor Y.
Several local vendors will be offering their fresh goods on Wednesday afternoons from 1-5pm. Each week presents a variety of items, so there is always something new to look forward to. The market will be open rain or shine and held inside during poor weather.
“Supporting our local farmers helps our local economy to thrive. Also, fruits and vegetables are more nutrient rich when its allowed to fully ripen before being picked – sometimes even that day,” Steinmetz added.
