Half Price Books Celebrates ‘Booksgiving Day’

Half Price Books is inviting parents and their kids, family members and friends to its stores for Booksgiving Day, November 21 at 1 p.m., for a special storytime.

The third annual Booksgiving Day is part of Half Price Books’ Million Book Donation Project, which provides books to hundreds of schools, literacy groups, Boys & Girls Clubs, YMCAs, hospitals and other non-profit organizations.

“Having books in the home helps foster a love of reading,” said Kathy Doyle Thomas, executive vice president and chief strategy officer of Half Price Books. “We love that Booksgiving gets books into the hands of children and we hope to see lots of families at this year’s storytime.”

Pack up your half-pint readers and join us for a special Booksgiving Day Storytime. On Saturday, November 21, from 12:45-1:30 p.m., Jennifer & Co. Salon & Spa will offer face painting before and after Booksgiving Storytime. Plus, every child who attends our special storytime will receive a FREE preselected book to take home.
