Kids Explore Books with New Button Club at Mentor Public Library

Mentor Public Library has started a Button Club as a fun way to rewards kids for exploring different genres and types of book.

Kids who check out and read three books with each month’s theme — for example, March’s theme is mysteries; April’s is science fiction— will get a special pin. If the kids collect six buttons, they’ll also receive a Be Bright Read browsing bag.

The Button Club is free to join and open to all kids in second through fifth grade. There’s also no registration necessary.

However, kids will need to pick up their Button Club form from children’s desk on the second floor of Mentor Public Library’s Main Branch, 8215 Mentor Ave.

Once they’ve read their books, they can bring back their completed form and check-out receipts to the children’s desk where they’ll get their button.

If anyone has questions about the Button Club, call MPL’s Children’s Department at 440-255-8811 ext. 221 or visit www.mentorpl.org
