Parent Tip of the Week: Make New Memories at Carousel

The Western Reserve Historical Society has a new feature —The Euclid Beach Park Grand Carousel.  Some or most people in your family may have rode this historic carousel. It’s back for the new generation. Come and create a new holiday tradition for your family.

Nearly 45 years after the iconic park’s closure, the restoration of the Grand Carousel is complete. The horses and mechanism have been restored by Carousel Works in Mansfield, Ohio. Scenes depicting Cleveland icons and moments from Euclid Beach Park have been carefully hand-painted by Carousel Works’ skilled artisans and will offer visitors a look back in time to Cleveland’s past.

Starting this weekend, Friday November 28, Your family can ride the Euclid Beach Park Grand Carousel and stroll through memory lane and re-live the joy of the Higbee’s department store holiday window displays and mechanical characters. The weekends at the will feature make & take crafts, as well as other holiday activities. Be here on December 20th and 21st to meet Mr. Jingeling from 12-2pm. FREE with general admission: $10 adults, $5 children 3-12, free for WRHS members. Each admission receives two tokens for a carousel ride.
