Spring has sprung in the greater Cleveland/Akron area, and with it comes a fresh lineup of family-friendly events. From Easter Bunny photos and egg hunts to seasonal nature-themed events, there’s plenty to do with your kids in March and April.

April 3

Kids Easter Workshop. Run by children’s cooking sensation “Betty Buns” and StoneWater team members, kids ages 6-12 will get to enjoy three Easter themed activities: egg coloring, decorating Easter sugar cookies and making cupcake easter baskets. Kids will get to take all their treats home to share with the family. Orchids Forever. Over the course of the show, thousands of orchids will fill the galleries, hallways and glasshouses at the Cleveland Botanical Garden. Stark Park Kids: Spring Scientists. Join to explore the signs of spring. Enjoy an individual craft, meet a creature, and do a scavenger hunt. Virtual: Fly Like an Eagle. Did you know that there were only four bald eagle nests in the entire state of Ohio in the late 1970s? The majestic bald eagle has since bounced back from near extinction. Self-Guided Eye Spy. Hit the trail any time during the month of April for a nature-themed game of Eye Spy. Begin by downloading or printing this month’s Eye Spy list, then enjoy a stroll along Pheasant Run Trail in search of animals, delicate spring wildflowers and other landmarks. Fun Day: Wild Animal babies. Discover the journey of wild animal babies as they grow and prepare for life on their own. Enjoy a naturalist-led hike that peeks into the early life of native animals, and engage in an animal chat with animal ambassadors and a keeper chat with animal care staff from the Kevin P. Storybook Explorers: Eggs.
