Crocker Kids returns for its fifth season at Crocker Park in Westlake this summer beginning May 21 with the theme “Get Your Craft On.” Themes and activities will vary each month throughout the summer, and will include make and take crafts, giveaways, a balloon artist, snacks, face painting/glitter tattoos, games and much more!

Children begin developing speech as an infant. By 6 months, babies coo and play with their voices by producing sounds such as "oo," "uh," "mm," "da," and "goo." As time goes on, your child will produce a variety of age-appropriate sounds and word shapes. Single words will be combined into two- and three-word phrases, and eventually into sentences and ongoing conversation.

Setting — and holding — limits as parents is essential. Limits help kids feel safe; boundaries give them a sense of security and predictability which, in turn, can make parenting easier. Learn a few guidelines that will make setting limits easier.
