Four local high school students won a total of $18,500 in college scholarships as part of the Shining Star CLE 2017 solo singing competition. The event raised funds for Montefiore, a full-service senior healthcare campus in Beachwood; The Weils - a Montefiore senior living campus in Chagrin Falls; and in the community with its in-home memory care program.

The incidence rises to 3-6 in 1,000 by the time a child reaches school age. Two red flags that a child may have a hearing loss are if the parents have concerns regarding their child’s hearing or if the child has a speech, language or developmental delay.
