2017 Cover Kids Contest Winners

We are thrilled to announce the winners of the second annual Cover Kids contest! A panel of judges, made up of Northeast Ohio Parent writers, editors, designers and other staffers, narrowed the original field of 200 entries for children, ages 0-17 from across the region, down to 10 winners and 13 runners-up. The winners will receive a cover photo shoot for one of the 2017-18 issues of Northeast Ohio Parent magazine.

Cleveland Metroparks Celebrates 100 Years with Special Centennial Events

To celebrate its 100th anniversary, this month the Cleveland Metroparks will host a number of centennial events and feature special items as a way for the community to help mark the celebration. In July, they honor the park's history with events including the rededication of A.B. Williams Memorial Woods and the Stinchcomb-Groth Memorial; a free Centennial Fireworks Celebration at Edgewater Park; and a concert at Bedford Reservation. Park visitors can also pick up a free limited edition commemorative Pathfinder this month that will be at nature centers and events.

Crocker Kids Returns to Crocker Park July 11 for a Splash Party

Dress for the splash pad and other slippery fun next Tuesday for Crocker Kids - Splash Party. The free family event, which takes place at Crocker Park in Westlake, will include custom balloon creations and free glitter tattoos, a football toss and hockey slap shot with Cleveland Gladiators and Monsters, plus great prizes and giveaways. 95.5 The Fish also will be on site with music and entertainment.
