The American Library Association and libraries across the country are promoting the value of a library card and library services. With a library card, patrons can check out so much more than books. No longer just repositories for printed materials, today’s libraries are serving as tech hubs, community centers and DIY spaces that are more about connecting and plugging in. The camp is hosted by Nick Hamilton, son of Cleveland Indians radio broadcaster Tom Hamilton, and his wife Wendy, who went on to play baseball in the minor leagues with the Cleveland Indians and is now a scout for the Philadelphia Phillies. The camp is for boys and girls ages 5-18 and its proceeds benefit Cleveland Hearing & Speech Center.
