Education, Entertainment, Exploration: Clean Water Fest returns in-person to bring you a day of all things water!
Looking for an event that’ll keep the kids fed, educated, and entertained? This trifecta can be found at Clean Water Fest on September 17. It’s a free, day-long festival of all things water for kids and adults alike.
It’s returning to in-person for the first time in three years, and they could not be more excited. Celebrating 50 years of public service with the public they serve.
So, what can you expect from this event?
Education about various water-related topics.
- Learn about fighting water pollution with partners such as Drink Local Drink Tap and Cleveland Water Pollution Control
- Explore the importance of managing stormwater and protecting our rivers with the Watershed Stewardship Center stream table.
- Become a chemist for the day with the Great Lakes Science Center
- Be amazed with the harrowing adventures of our “Mad Scientist!”
- Dozens of other clean water partners will be exhibiting as well!
Entertainment from vendor booths and interactive exhibits
- Make your own rain stick and upcycle unique crafts
- Face painting and educational projects
- Once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet the face behind “@NEORSD”, the District’s famous Twitter account during a live interview and Q&A session
- Stay nourished with ice cream treats, popcorn, and food trucks!

- Tour the state-of-the-art science lab
- Tour one of the largest Wastewater Treatment Plants of its kind
