J-Day Camps: Find Your Fun. Find Your Friends. Find Your Adventure.

J-Day Camps is more than a place, it’s a feeling. When we think of day camp, we think of the confidence, the connection and the campers who become a family. At J-Day Camps, your camper will make lifelong friendships, feel part of a community and explore new skills and interests. They’ll find their passion, feel empowered to take risks and be immersed in Jewish culture under the guidance of our experienced and enthusiastic counselors.

We hold two summer camps: Anisfield Day Camp for campers in grades K-6 and The Francine & Benson Pilloff Family Performing Arts Camp for those in grades K-8. A bus shuttle is available from Solon. Campers attend in two-week sessions from June 17 – August 9. The camp favorite Maccabiah color wars take place during the week of July 22.

Our Two Campus Advantage

Whether at Safran Park in Beachwood or Halle Park in Burton — or a combination of the two — campers have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of program offerings, each of which provides a summer of a lifetime. J-Day Camps kindergarten and performing arts campers spend their days at Safran Park and make full use of the wooded campus with an outdoor pool, spray ground, Gaga pits and sports fields. Programming also takes place in our indoor Arts and Crafts Building, multi-purpose classrooms and auditorium.

Halle Park sits on 325 wooded acres in Burton owned by Mandel JCC. Campers spend time on the lake using water equipment like stand-up paddle boards, peddle boats, aqua jumps and jungle gyms. The Deborah Ann November Aquatics Center includes a pool, two water slides and spray ground. Campers also enjoy a ropes course, archery, sports fields and hiking.

Anisfield Camp

Our youngest campers are treated to an active, nurturing and fun-filled experience. Campers participate in Camp 360 – a taste of everything – and will use their imaginations, participate in sports and swimming, and get creative in STEM, art and drama. All kindergarten campers attend camp at Safran Park. Safety Town is included in the July 15-26 session.

Anisfield campers in grades 2 – 6 enjoy camp at Halle Park with majors including Camp 360, Athletics, Creative Arts, Gymnastics and more. While at Halle Park, campers swim, enjoy lake activities and explore the outdoors. These campers start their day at The J in Beachwood with a full camp Rock-the-Rock gathering, then continue finding their fun with friends and counselors during an active bus ride to Burton.

The Francine & Benson Pilloff Family Performing Arts Camp

The J’s Performing Arts Camp (PAC) is an extension of our Playmakers Youth Theatre program. It is a place for campers of all experience levels to stretch their imaginations, gain confidence on and off the stage, find their voices and build lifelong friendships. Through playing a character, singing their hearts out and nurturing instruction that celebrates each individual’s creativity, PAC campers grow as performers and people.

After the full J-Day Camps Rock-the-Rock gathering, PAC campers participate in theater classes, electives, art and swimming in The J’s outdoor pool—all while rehearsing their shows. Campers dive deeply into specials such as improv, puppetry and costume design, and build new skills in master classes and workshops. As they bring productions to life, campers have fun in the sun while they grow, create and shine on stage.
