Make a Difference Day 5K Run/Walk to benefit Shore Middle School PTSA and St. Bede’s Food Pantry will take place on Saturday, Oct. 25 with registration at 7:30 a.m. and race at 9 a.m.
Proceeds from the event benefit Shore Middle School PTSA, to support educational projects in the school, and food contributions and designated donations will be sent to the St. Bede’s Food Pantry. Each October, Shore Middle School PTSA participates in Make a Difference Day, a National Day of Doing Good held the last Saturday of the month. The Shore Middle School community has collected hundreds of pounds of food to benefit families seeking assistance from the St. Bede Food Pantry, which serves an average of 300 individuals each month.
Cost is $20 for pre-registration, and $25 day of event. Prizes to the top 3 finishers in each age category, and top 3 male and female participants overall. Professional race services provided in partnership with Second Sole/Greater Cleveland XC. Participants are encouraged to bring food donations for the St. Bede Food Pantry.
Shore Middle School is located at 5670 Hopkins Road in Mentor.
