YMCA of Greater Cleveland adding Pickleball Center in North Royalton

If you haven’t heard … pickleball is all the rage. And the YMCA of Greater Cleveland is aiming to improve access to the budding sport.

On Wednesday, Oct. 23, the YMCA will host the grand opening of its North Royalton Pickleball Center, a state-of-the-art facility that features four professional pickleball courts designed to accommodate players of all skill levels.

The new Pickleball Center, the YMCA says, will serve as a vibrant hub for the expanding pickleball community in the Greater Cleveland area and will be available exclusively to YMCA members and their guests.

The facility offers a climate-controlled environment and is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m.-9 p.m., Saturdays from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sundays from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. It is located at 13700 York Road in North Royalton.

Wednesday’s grand opening will feature free trial games, clinics and demonstrations. Whether attendees are experienced players or new to the sport, there will be activities for everyone to enjoy. Attendees can meet fellow pickleball enthusiasts, enjoy refreshments and take advantage of special giveaways.

Non-members attending the grand opening event will receive exclusive membership incentives, allowing them to experience all the benefits the YMCA of Greater Cleveland has to offer, including access to the new pickleball courts.

“We’re thrilled to bring this facility to the North Royalton community and look forward to seeing players of all ages and abilities come together to enjoy the sport of pickleball,” says Travis Wilson, Pickleball Director at the North Royalton Family YMCA.
