Great Lakes Medieval Faire and Marketplace

The 23rd annual Great Lakes Medieval Faire and Marketplace has returned, giving Northeast Ohio families the chance to travel to 13th Century England for a day.

Stroll through the shaded shire of Avaloch to see craft demonstrations, purchase unique wares, and eat food fit for a king. Over 100 skilled artisans from all over the country will display their wares, from silks to swords, gems to jewels.

Try your hand at games of skill such as archery, tests of strength, axe throwing, cross bow and golf — or stop at one of 14 stages for whimsical entertainment shows, including comedy, magic, music, court jesters, and more. Also, keep an eye out for pirates, mermaids, Vikings and acrobats!

The faire also offers entertainment just for children, including a butterfly encounter, fairie forest and fairie games and crafts, storytelling tree, gypsy scavenger hunt, rides and games, and more.

The Great Lakes Medieval Faire runs Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m.- 7 p.m. through Aug. 14. Tickets are $22 at the gate for adults ($20 when purchased online in advance); $6 for children ages 5-12 ($5 in advance); and children ages 4 and younger are free.
