A group of Kent businesses banded together and, with the help of Main Street Kent, created an exclusive weekend of special offers, giveaways, discounts and raffles just for educators on Friday, November 17-19. Business owners simply ask that educators show their school ID at time of purchase for offerings and discounts.
“Educators build our communities from the ground up, one kid at a time. We decided that they need a special event to be celebrated,” says Jared Abell a local business owner who presented the idea to Main Street Kent.
On Educator Appreciation Weekend, educators will receive dining discounts at The Battleground, Bell Tower Brewing, Erie Street Kitchen and GRAZERS. Bent Tree Coffee, Tree City and Daisy Pops will have special offers on coffee and treats.
Shopping deals, giveaways and raffles will be offered at many retailers including Branded at Kent, Flourish Plant Mkt., Hippie Fox Rocks, Red Letter Days, Sun in Leo, Tiger Rae Boutique and others are joining in too. Plus, there are some unique offerings, including a discount on a Beer School class at Bell Tower Brewing, a HAPPY Hour: Mindfulness Mini Class for educators at The Performance Collective, and discounted professional headshot sessions at Standing Rock Media.
