Senders Pediatrics announced applications are now being accepted for the Bee K.I.N.D. (Kid, Initiated, Nice, Deeds) Grants. Ten Northeast Ohio children, ages 6-13, with awesome ideas on how to spread kindness in their school, neighborhood and community, will be awarded $75 micro grants.
“Children who learn to treat others with kindness can carry these values throughout their lives,” says Senders Pediatrics Parent Coach and Educator, Joan Morgenstern. “We believe acts of kindness have ripple effects — in short, kindness is contagious. Our goal is that this grant opportunity will encourage kids to spread kindness within their schools and neighborhoods.”
Senders Pediatrics hopes to fund projects that encourage and spread kindness from one individual to another and that can be easily replicated. The goal of the initiative is to empower children to see that no act of kindness is too small, and that their individual acts of kindness add up to have a big and meaningful impact on the world around them.
Deadline to apply for the grant is Friday, January 28. Grant winners will be notified on February 7. For details and an application form, visit: tinyurl.com/kindgrants or contact Joan Morgenstern at 216-291-9210, ext. 153.
