Northeast Ohio is gearing up for the fifth annual Moving Day fundraising walk, the Parkinson Foundation’s (PF) signature walk event that generates a higher awareness for Parkinson disease.
Scheduled for June 20 at Wade Oval in University Circle from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., the event will offer exciting and empowering opportunities for people with Parkinson’s disease (PD), families, friends, companies and organizations with the goal of raising significant funds to support comprehensive patient care programs and research.
Since studies show that movement is beneficial and proven to help manage the symptoms of PD, improving flexibility and mobility, the event will feature a dynamic movement pavilion with activities such as yoga, Pilates, reiki and more.
Moving Day Cleveland also will include music, children’s games and a friendly 1-mile walk thanks to the support of national and local sponsors: presenting sponsor Parker Hannifin; silver sponsors The Evenor Fund and Industrial Tube & Steel; and bronze sponsor Sprenger Healthcare Systems. Sponsorships are still available by calling 330-807-1517.
