Akron Children’s tiniest Swifties stole the show in the neonatal intensive care unit in celebration of Taylor Swift’s newest album, The Life of a Showgirl. Dressed in glitzy dresses, Travis Kelce jerseys and wearing personalized friendship bracelets handmade with love by NICU staff, these babies took part in a special photo shoot inspired by Taylor’s iconic style.
The photos and videos capture not only the sparkle of this cultural moment, but also the hope and joy their families feel as they celebrate the milestones of their NICU journey. The Mastermind behind this project were a few major Swifties who are nurses at Akron Children’s.
NICU staff nurse Ann Rochat made the cookies using Taylor’s chai sugar cookie recipe, assistant NICU nurse manager Sofyia Lizhnyak made the friendship bracelets and Marybeth Fry, family care coordinator, made the costumes.
