Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka at Fine Arts Association
Join the Fine Arts Association for this holiday season in Willy Wonka’s magical world of chocolate dreams, featuring favorite songs from the classic film. Show runs through Dec. 21.
The Nutcracker’ presented by the Ballet Theatre of Ohio
Ballet Theatre of Ohio begins The Nutcracker Series Thanksgiving Weekend and continues through the first week in December. This performance series is held at the historic Akron Civic Theatre in downtown Akron.
Deck the Hall at Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens
Bring the whole family to enjoy a spectacular holiday celebration. Deck the Hall features a fantastic light show animated to music and (new this year) is Gingerbread Land in Playgarden.
Free Kids Friday
Admission to the Pro Football Hall of Fame will be free for kids 12 and younger when accompanied by an adult purchasing a regular adult admission. There must be one adult accompanied for every four children.
Lock 3 Akron Holiday Event
This weekend at Lock 3 in Akron, there will be the holiday tree lighting, Santa Parade, Breakfast with Santa, Reindeer Run, ice skating and more. Check out this weekend’s events.
Holiday Fun at Crocker Park in Westlake
Got to Crocker Park this year for the variety of seasonal happenings. Your family can go aboard the Lake Ridge Academy Express Train and d enjoy the beautiful holiday decor. The Holiday Village and Train Town will also be open. Have your kids put their lists together and come visit Santa and his friends at the Great Lakes Science Center Santa House.
Lake Metroparks Farmpark Toy Workshop
For ages 2-11 at Lake Metroparks Farmpark. Children select wooden toy and with the help of elves from Santa’s workshop, put together and then paint and glitter their new toy.
Wild Days of Winter
Play along on the magical indoor winter wonderland at Penitentiary Glen Reservation. Get in the action of The Wild Days of Winter on a life-sized game board. Activity pages, crafts, refreshments available. Snowshoe rentals weather permitting.
Winterfest in Downtown Cleveland
On the Saturday following Thanksgiving, bring your family Downtown as Huntington presents Winterfest, an all day holiday celebration. Take in the magic as you experience Downtown’s vibrancy through horse and carriage rides, the first ever tree-lighting ceremony at PlayhouseSquare, a fireworks show and more.
