Families kicked off both autumn and the Halloween season by decorating pumpkins at Mentor Public Library’s Main Branch. Parents and kids used paints, stickers and markers to decorate their gourds.
The pumpkins are now on display on the second floor of Mentor Library’s Main Branch. Patrons can vote on their favorite. And the fun’s just begun. Mentor Public Library has several Halloween programs coming up in the next few weeks including:
- A Day at Hogwarts on Friday, Oct. 16, at the Main Branch. Kids can make their own wands and take potions and magic classes.
- a special Goosebumps-themed party on Monday, Oct. 26 at the Lake Branch.
- Dennis’s annual Halloween puppet show on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at the Headlands Branch.
Finally, kids can trick or treat at Mentor Library’s Main Branch from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Main Branch on Friday, Oct. 30.
Some programs require registration. For more information, call Mentor Public Library at 440-255-8811 or visit www.mentorpl.org.
