Local Restaurants Make Donation to Cleveland Clinic Children’s

Chef Art Pour Restaurant Group presented Cleveland Clinic Children’s with a check for $5,000 to be used in pediatric education. Funds were raised through the sale of holiday gift cards at Burntwood Tavern, M Italian, and Pacos Tacos. For every $50 gift card sold at these restaurants, CAPRG pledged to donate an additional $5 to Cleveland Clinic Children’s, provider of world-class healthcare to young patients and their families when they need it most.

The donation to Cleveland Clinic Children’s will be used to purchase teaching aid dolls, which significantly aid in pediatric education. The dolls are realistic and adaptable, and help to eliminate emotional and language barriers as well as serve as role models and “friends” – experiencing the same medical diagnosis as the child. In addition, a portion of the donation will be used to purchase new video games for the children to play during their hospital stay.

Bret Adams, owner and founder of CAPRG, said, “It’s a testament to our staff and guests that we were able to raise this funding to help children better deal with a their diagnosis.” Adams added that he plans to partner with Cleveland Clinic Children’s on additional initiatives in 2016.

Jen Leonard, marketing and events manager of CAPRG, said, “We believe in partnering with charitable organizations and schools in our communities to help enhance the area for our guests and our neighbors. We are pleased to have the opportunity to be involved with Cleveland Clinic Children’s and be a part of seeing these kids’ smile.”

CAPRG consists of Burntwood Tavern, M Italian and Pacos Tacos with 9 restaurants in Northeast Ohio.
