Experience ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ in 70mm in the OMNIMAX Theater at Great Lakes Science Center

One of the biggest blockbuster films ever is about to get even bigger when “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” opens in Great Lakes Science Center’s OMNIMAX Theater on Friday, March 4!
See the film as it was meant to be seen – projected from 70mm film on a truly giant screen.  Director J.J. Abrams shot key sequences of the movie using IMAX cameras – the highest resolution cameras in the world. Only in IMAX theaters will these sequences expand vertically to fill the screen with breathtaking image quality, in even greater scope for a truly immersive film-going experience.
The high resolution images are coupled with the theater’s 11,600 watt, six-channel audio sound system delivered through 44 speakers to complete the experience.
The Science Center’s OMNIMAX Theater is one of less than 20 theaters worldwide showing the movie on 70mm film, you’d have to drive to Indianapolis or Philadelphia if you miss it here!
