Save the Date: Celebrate Earth Day with a Party for the Planet at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo

Party for the Planet at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo on Saturday, April 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Party for the Planet combines entertainment and environmental education during a day at the Zoo that is fun for the whole family.
Throughout the Zoo, there will be special appearances by the St. Edward High School Trash Talkers, Meet-the-Keeper opportunities, animal enrichment demonstrations, Cleveland Metroparks NatureTracks mobile classroom, as well as interactive displays, programs and crafts that will inspire connections between guests and the natural world. Families can visit their favorite Zoo animals and exhibits, and see a special preview of this summer’s live animal show with Professor Wylde.

An Educator’s Open House will be held during the event as well to offer local teachers the chance to learn about the variety of programs offered by the Zoo’s Conservation Education Division. Registration is required for the open house. Teachers can register online here or by calling (216) 635-3391.

This Earth Day, join the Zoo in supporting conservation efforts here at home and around the world. Make sure to bring aluminum cans, cell phones, small electronics, printer cartridges and car seats to the recycling drive at the Zoo’s Main Gate from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. during Party for the Planet.
