Akron Zoo Sets Attendance Records in 2016

The Akron Zoo surpassed its all-time annual attendance record, attracting 398,878 visitors in 2016. The zoo also set other attendance records last year, including a new single day attendance record and a new record for Boo at the Zoo attendance. Among the features and events that drew the large crowds were a Chilean flamingo chick that went on exhibit, new snow leopard triplets that were introduced, the final stretch of the Journey to The Reef exhibit, and the return of Wild Lights after a 16-year hiatus.

Tickets on Sale for Kent Chocolate Walk

Tickets are now on sale for the 2017 Kent Chocolate Walk, which will take place Saturday, Feb. 11. After "checking in" to receive Chocolate Walk maps, passes and bags, event-goers will stop at each participating business to gather a chocolate surprise while shopping and dining along the way.
