2017 Cover Kids Contest Winners

We are thrilled to announce the winners of the second annual Cover Kids contest! A panel of judges, made up of Northeast Ohio Parent writers, editors, designers and other staffers, narrowed the original field of 200 entries for children, ages 0-17 from across the region, down to 10 winners and 13 runners-up. The winners will receive a cover photo shoot for one of the 2017-18 issues of Northeast Ohio Parent magazine.

Cleveland Metroparks 100th anniversary celebrations and events

Cleveland Metroparks Celebrates 100 Years with Special Centennial Events

To celebrate its 100th anniversary, this month the Cleveland Metroparks will host a number of centennial events and feature special items as a way for the community to help mark the celebration. In July, they honor the park's history with events including the rededication of A.B. Williams Memorial Woods and the Stinchcomb-Groth Memorial; a free Centennial Fireworks Celebration at Edgewater Park; and a concert at Bedford Reservation. Park visitors can also pick up a free limited edition commemorative Pathfinder this month that will be at nature centers and events.
