The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad recorded the highest annual ridership in its history, with 214,063 passengers in 2016. The Akron Zoo surpassed its all-time annual attendance record, attracting 398,878 visitors in 2016. The zoo also set other attendance records last year, including a new single day attendance record and a new record for Boo at the Zoo attendance.
