Wearing a bike helmet is not enough to keep your child safe from head injury — making sure that the helmet is worn properly can be the difference between a concussion and protection. Just because it is a one-size-fits-all model doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t take the time to adjust the helmet correctly. As part of the kick-off to Bike Helmet Safety Awareness Week, Cleveland Clinic Children’s shared these bike helmet tips.

Mrs. Charlene (Sue) Zulandt becomes the first female principal in the school’s 89-year history. She joined the school staff in August of 2014 as the assistant principal and academic dean. NASA astronaut and Northeast Ohio native Mike Good (Colonel, USAF, Ret.) will be at the Science Center for a special appearance with a movie screening, audience Q&A and a meet and greet session. Good has logged nearly 25 days in space during the course of the STS-125 Atlantis (2009) and STS-132 Atlantis (2010) missions, where he helped to service the Hubble telescope and deliver materials to the International Space Station.

Kirtland High School Senior Joseph Bates was named Lake Health’s 2015-2016 Athlete of the Year and was awarded a $3,000 scholarship to the college of his choice.
