‘Untangled’ Author to Speak on Child Development

Lisa Damour

Joseph and Florence Mandel Jewish Day School will host psychologist, best-selling author, and columnist Lisa Damour, who will address the topic, “Untangling the Developmental Stages of our Children.”

Damour blends years of experience with the latest research developments to provide sound, practical guidance to children and adolescents as well as their parents, teachers and advocates. In her New York Times best seller “Untangled: Guiding Teenage Girls Through the Seven Transitions into Adulthood,” Damour draws on decades of experience and the latest research to reveal the seven distinct — and absolutely normal — developmental transitions that turn girls into grown-ups, including Parting with Childhood, Contending with Adult Authority, Entering the Romantic World, and Caring for Herself.

The event on Monday, February 5 at 7 p.m. is part of the Mandel JDS Middle School Reveal, during which attendees also will be able to see the school’s new, state-of-the-art classrooms and middle school science lab.

Childcare is available with an advance reservation. For more information or to RSVP, email [email protected] or call 216-464-4055, ext. 106. View the event on Facebook by clicking here.
