Video auditions are being accepted for the solo-singing competition for high school students. Students (graduation dates 2018-2021) who live in Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Medina or Summit counties are eligible to enter. Winners will receive college scholarships, and finalists will get the chance to perform on stage.

The Connecting for Kids Parking Lot Safety Awareness Program offers families free safety kits to educate children about the dangers of running away from a car without holding an adult’s hand. The kits include a magnet that, when placed on the car, give kids a visual spot to put their hand to wait until an adult can safely lead them to the next destination. Kits will be available at a free Meet and Greet event in Rocky River on Wednesday.
